you, back then
and meBefore I ever knew your name, you were already somewhere in the world becoming the person my whole life would quietly point toward.

Every notification from you mattered. I reread our old conversations. I looked at your pictures more times than I’ll ever admit, and imagined a future with you.

I loved you through every one of those years without ever saying a word (atleast I tried). Not because I wasn't brave enough tell you, but because I was terrified that telling you would cost me the privilege of having you in my life. I'd rather have you as my friend than lose you completely.

I heard you might be falling for someone else. That fear did what years of courage never could it made me finally tell you the truth. I will not say that i wasn’t expecting anything back, I was expecting you choose me, be with me.

Fir voh Pahaad wali Raat, Kya raat thi vo 😭❤️ To my complete surprise, you said yes. The girl I had loved in silence for years became the person I finally got to love openly not as a wish I carried alone, but as us. For the first time, I wasn't just dreaming about you with my eyes open, I was seeing us as something real. A lifetime of your laughter and your worries, your strongest days and your weakest, your ordinary mornings and mine. And I knew, with a peace I'll never be able to explain, that if life ever gave me the choice, I wanted every version of forever to have you in it.

Distance has taught me something I never understood before it isn't the big moments you miss the most. It's the ordinary ones you'll never get back. I miss reaching for your hand without thinking, looking at you instead of a screen, hearing your laugh beside me instead of through my phone. One day, I know we'll have those moments. And when we do, I don't think I'll ever take a single ordinary day with you for granted.
